Data is based on a UK resident basis. Estimates compiled on a residency basis include data relating to United Kingdom residents and United Kingdom-registered businesses, regardless of whether they are in the United Kingdom or overseas. Data relating to foreign visitors and foreign businesses in the United Kingdom are excluded. As part of Blue Book 2022, the 2020 GVA data went through the supply use balancing process where output and intermediate consumption are accurately measured.
