Since September 2023 we have paused the uploading of data reported on this site. However, the hyperlinks for the indicator data sources could be used to see where the data is published and whether newer data will become available in future. You can also find up to date SDG data on the UN SDG website which reports globally comparable data.
In July 2021 we published a detailed outline of our approach to assessing the quality and suitability of statistics from non-official sources for SDG reporting. We produced a transparent protocol with a simple scoring system based on the pillars of the UKSA Code of Practice for Statistics and critical SDG characteristics. We have since updated some of the criteria used in this protocol.
The UN has recommended 36 changes to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators. This was one of the findings of the UN’s 2020 Comprehensive Review Process. The changes include replacing, revising, adding or deleting existing indicators.

Currently, our UK SDG data site requires data files to be in a specific format. This means that we have to reformat data that is in a different format in order to make it usable on the site. We are looking to automate the process of updating the data we report.
